Le Chalet Zannier – Megève
Megéve is one of the most posh ski resorts in the Alps, andone of the most well preserved. At the end of a snow capped pass, the Christomet, the Rochebrune and Mont d’Arbois look down on the Megéve Valley. And not far away, stands the Mont-Blanc, with its blue glaciers and mountain peaks lost in the clouds. For more than a century, Mont Blanc has attracted impassioned mountain lovers, and the majestic landscapes more than justify this attraction. Megéve has preserved all the charm of a, authentic Savoyard village. The ski resort, which enjoyed its first increase in tourism as early as 1910, has always placed the accent on French “art de vivre”. One native of the country is trying to perpetuate this tradition and adding to it with an innovative touch.
Megéve was once home to La Ferme de Mon Père (My Father’s Farm), a hotel with a legendary restaurant managed by Marc Veyrat. It is now the Chalet of Arnaud Zannier, part of a family with a truly enterprising spirit. The Chalet Zannier has just opened after a long and subtle face lifting. This three building establishment is aiming for a five star rating, but in a totally different framework.
