Santorini

Levitating above the crater

As if suspended around the inundated crater of the ancient volcano, the villas of the Hotel Katikies are carved into the rocks of the dizzying Oia cliffs. Located a hundred meters above the deep blue Aegean Sea, the hotel’s 7 rooms and 19 suites, are connected to each other by a labyrinth of gleaming white arches and staircases. The all white interiors pay tribute to the aesthetics of Aegean architecture with gentle curves, hidden alcoves and a prevailing sense of freshness. The breathtaking infinity swimming pool seems to be an extension of the sea and the crater, creating a wonderful sensation of floating halfway between sea and sky. What can be more exciting than the feeling of levitation? Thanks to this new creation by Greek architect Ilias Apostolides, guests are placed in an intoxicating state of weightlessness!

The numerous steps and the height of the swimming pools on the terraces make the hotel difficult to access for those with reduced mobility. In addition, only children over the age of thirteen can be admitted as guests.
